Have you had a situation whereby the installation of a boundary fence or wall had been hindered by trees along the boundary line? This is exactly what happened with the Rose Bay boundary wall in NSW.
ModularWalls was asked to design, supply and install a privacy wall along the entire length of the rear boundary of our client’s property. The property was located on a moderately-graded block, and required raking of the base panels to suit the land. The real challenge here was that there was a large heritage listed fig-tree directly on the boundary line – hence, traditional walling options such as brick and block requiring bulky strip footings could not be applied in this instance.
Neither did the home owner want a paling fence due to aesthetics. Hence, the post and rail design of the modular wall system was ideal in providing the desired aesthetics while overcoming the challenges the site presented. In addition, spanning sensitive root systems or easements is done with ease with the modular wall design making it the perfect solution for this project.
The VogueWall was chosen for this project. Careful measuring and routeing allowed the panels to be profiled around the tree roots, allowing maximum privacy and acoustic benefit but maintaining the natural landscaping. Finally, a geometric paint pattern was applied to the exterior face to mimic the appearance of a block masonry wall.
